We drive to a boundary area of Gobi desert & central steppe part of Mongolia which is named ‘’baga gazariin chuluu”. It is 260km to south direction from Ulaanbaatar.

The destination is surrounded by rocky mountains which are formatted with granite stones, there is ruins and some memorials of small buddist temple which is badly damaged by political repression, cold spring in the unique and incredible location of the rock, it is called “eye spring”. So visitors and local people drop it into their eyes. It is considered that good for eye vision.

There are some local nomads who offers ger accommodation for travelers and also tourist camps.

This day we drive about 4 hours and reach ‘tsagaan suvarga’’. This is one of great wonders of Mongolian gobi desert.

This white and colourfull rock formation stands around 30 metres in height and has been shaped strangely as a result of thousands of years of wind and water erosion.

During sunset & sunrise the destination looks more panaromic & dramatic for photographying.

It seems like a floor of sea, so it is a clear evidence that there was sea millions years ago.

‘’Yoliin am’’ means golden eagle”s valley. There is huge stone canyons and big eagles built up their nests on the rock, day time we can see flying eagles over high peaks of the rocky canyons.

The Eagles have white colour on their chest. So they are named golden eagle. It is the coldest area of Mongolian gobi desert, because high rocky walls hide enormous space from sunshine.

So there pretty big layers of ice lay until middle of July.It is really good to do hiking through canyons. There also we visit an interesting museum.

We drive around more than 3 hours on the earth road and then reach the sandslope which is named ‘’khongoriin els’’.

The sandslope is also called as a singing dune, when it is windy day sand makes something noise like airplane. The sandslope lays around 180km from west to east direction, the wide is 3-4km,but the widest part is around 20km.  The highest peak is around 200metres, but climbing the highest peak up is not so easy and it is a  lot of fun for travellers. This brilliant ,incredible place gives us amazing activities such as camelriding ,sandsledding ,climbing up and other exotic feelings. Definitely we could create unforgettable memories and lots of fun.

In the morning we drive to the flaming cliffs. The destination has 2 names ‘’baynzag’’ and flaming cliffs.

Normally it is called bayanzag by locals, but it is famous for named as a flaming cliffs in the world. In the early years of last century /1920s/ American anthropologist Roy Chapman Andrews was travelling through Mongolian gobi desert from China to Europe. During his journey he discovered flaming cliffs and found many dinosaur bones and eggs.

Also natural formation and views are also incredible and red coloured walls are attractive. It seemed to be a bottom of sea millions years ago.

afternoon we go to next destination Ongi Monastery.

This monastery is 150km from bayanzag to the north direction near by Saikhan ovoo town of middle gobi province.

This is mostly ruins of pretty big buddist town. More than 300 years ago the buddist town originally built up here and location of town seemed to be beautifull and incredible in gobi, there is river ‘’ongi’’, and some unique shaped rocks. At actual period of activity it has incredible designed temples and more than 1000 monks worked there. Unfourtunately, during 1930ies the monastery badly damaged and hundreds of monks were killed by political repression, some of monks joined to army to survive and some of them became a typical worker in a factory also to survive.

We will see there some actual memorials and ruins of it and visit museum about it

In the morning after breakfast we will drive around 4-5 hours and reach ancient capital city kharkhorum at the active period of 13th century.

Grandson of Chinggiskhaan, Khubilai governed that city and unfornutely he moved capital Kharkhorum of great empire of Mongolia to Beijing in china in the 13th century. To be very honest that city now looks one of  typical modern village in Mongolia, but especial thing is there are some historical heritages, monuments from that period and also many tourist camps , guesthouses and new statues, museums  which is showing the history related to the 13th century and Mongolian history. It is still touristic place and many tourists visit there every year.

This day we leave boundary zone of Gobi and steppe, natural views turn into grasslands of heartland of Mongolia. After 6-7 hours driving we reach ‘’orkhon valley’’. Orkhon valley is the most touristic and beautifull zone in the  central part of Mongolia.

It is the most common and popular touristic, relaxing and exploring actual nomadic culture and historical things. Orkhon valley is 450km from UB, the national park has a gorgeous and dramatic waterfall, orkhon river and burnt black rocks from errupted volcano lay through the beautifull valley ,then along those, nomadic families and tourist camps ,domestic animals /yaks ,sheep,horses/ also decorate the valley.

So it is very green and surrounded by forestous mountains. It is really best choice for photographing, horseriding, camping and hiking in this wonderfull park.

In the morning we go to Tuvkhen’’monastery. The monastery is originally constructed more than 300 years ago.

The leader of budda religious at that period /zanabazar/ decided to build up a small temple in the incredible location of beautifull forestous zone of khangai mountain range. The temple is located on the top of mountain with surrounded gorgeous view, travellers need to walk up around 4km for 1 way to reach there through forest.

After this hiking we will drive to the hot spa ‘’Tsenkher’’. However the hot spa has been preserving  medical and magical effect for human health. but also it is the wonderfull relaxation point for tourists. Hot spa is natural 86 plus degrees. There are few luxury tourist camps using hot spa for swimmimg pool and shower, obviously adjusting water temprature.

Enjoying in the swimming pool ,gazing stars in the clear night sky is amazing.

This day we drive to the national park of khorgo volcano and white lake “Terkhiin tsagaan nuur”.

The destination is one of the most beautifull and famous place of Mongolian tourism. The volcanic erupted mountain with a big pot, lava black burnt rocks, beautifull lake and forestous mountains are existing together show us incredible and unique combination of nature. There are many local nomads with domestic herding animals such as yaks, cows, horses ,sheep and goats, also they serve travellers with gers for guests. Obviously many ger camps work there during tourist season since end of May untill end of September. We enjoy the panoramic natural view such as volcano “khorgo’’ and beautifull lake “terkh” and some other natural views.

It is really picturesque and amazing zone for hiking and horseriding.

Next morning we head to north khuvsul lake, but from white lake ”Terkh” to khuvsgul lake is 370km on unpaved road, we get through mostly mudy, bumpy, wild earth road, but really adventurous, it is really hard to get there in one day, so we stay overnight in hotel in the village Shine-Ider,  but if weather is nice we drive to northwest 18km to a tourist camp lakeside from the town.

This day we will reach Khuvsgul lake.

The lake is freshwatered, surronded by green forests and high mountains, the long is 136km and the widest part is around 34km, the deepest is 245metres, rich of white fish. It is the famous place for tourism. In summer lakeside is very busy, travellers do hiking, horseriding, fishing, boat traveliing, camping....and having a fun. It is called “Mongolian switzland” by tourists.

We could extend our time considering your time and wish.

Architecturally beautiful Amarbayasgalant monastery is one of the three main monasteries in Mongolia, was built between 1727 and 1737 by the Manchu emperor Yongzheng, the son of Kangxi of Manchu (Qing dynasty)commemorating Zanabazar, the first Bogd Gegeen (religious title), leader of Mongolian Buddhism, sculptor, and painter.

Zanabazar's (1635-1723) remains were transferred to the monastery in 1779. Pilgrims from all over the Tibetan-Mongolian Buddhist world came to the monastery to worship and pay homage to the mummified body of Zanabazar. Above the entranceway of the monastery is a large tablet with golden inscription in Mongolian, Manchu, and Chinese, says “The monastery Amarbayasgalant built at the Imperial Command “

Amarbayasgalant monastery sets on the southern slope of Burenkhan Mountain in the picturesque valley of Iven River.
Formerly, Amarbayasgaant had 40 temples, about 500 log cabins and gers that resided by 2000-3000 monks during its peak years. Currently, there are 28 temples in four main courtyards, surrounded by 207m by 175m wall; those remained from the 1930’s communist purge. Restoration of the monastery began in 1988 with funds provided by UNESCO and private sources after neglecting 50 years. The two-story 32m by 32m main temple Tsogchin Dugana is an architectural wonder and the roof tile work and enamel ceilings are work of great craftsmanship. 4 middle pillars of Tsogchin Dugana acts as the rain duct connecting with tunnels under its floor.
There are 40-50 monks in residence including young monks in training rely on few elderly abbots.
The ceremony is in process in the main two-story temple. 6 temples are open to the public and foreigners are required to pay an admission fee. The rest of the temples used to house mummified bodies of first Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar, third and fourth Bogd Gegeens.
Zanabazar’s mummify removed by the local worshippers during the communist purge and hidden somewhere in the surrounding mountains.
The monastery keeps many important original scripts of cultural heritage including the 108 volumes of Ganjuur and the 226 volumes of Danjuur, were written of ancient philosophy, medicine, geography, art, science, music, and astronomy in 1628. UNESCO registered this wonderful monastery as the World Heritage Site in 1996.
