What to eat in Mongolia?

So the weather is very strong, summer is super dry hot, it is not humade… and winter is very dry cold minus normally from -25 to -38. So Mongolians used to eat more nutrishous food from ancient time even until now. Basically meat goes into every meals. Normally mutton, beef, horse meat go into traditional meals buuz, khuushuur, tsuivan and noodle soup. Normally flour and meat go into ingredient of those meals, but these days we obviously vegetable and some other seasonings into it to make it more delishous.

About Mongolian traditional food, there are 2 kinds of delicious Mongolian BBQ which are named khorkhog and Boodog. Khorkhog is a Mongolian barbecue dish made using hot stones. Khorkhog is made by cooking piece of meat (usually goat, but mutton also can be used) and vegetables inside a container which also contains hot stones and water. The use of stones helps distribute the the heat around more, which cooks it more intensively. Khorkhog is usually made on a special occasions. Therefore, goat meat is saved and used instead of the everyday stable meat of mutton.

About Boodog, boodog is considered that the best taste in Mongolia, meat is marmot. As written in historical resources the marmot bbq "boodog" was innovated and cooked by outstanding Mongolian men. Clean the marmot, separate the the digestion tracts and somewhat eliminate hair from the skin. Rub within with salt, top off with hot stones and seal firmly. Also, broil the marmot on sluggish open fire or with a gas burner. For the most par Mongolians don’t involve flavors to keep the particular taste of marmot meat. While the cooking is done, the stones are pulled out, moved in hands, the meat is cut into pieces and the Mongolia formula marmot is prepared to serve hot…enjoy it!
